well, for mmo's kotor seems the only thing on the horizon though personally I'll have a hard time getting into that one. If you're looking outside mmo's elements from stardock is supposedly the spiritual successor of masters of magic, I'll be trying that one out for sure :)

Today is the last day of my subscription, and I logged on just to run census one last time. All I can say is WAR is dead. Dark Crag the highest population server had 127 people online on the Order side when it used to be consistently 800+. I know some people are still logging in until their subs run out so probably when Aion releases it will even be worse. The game had potential, but I see it going to one or two servers very soon, or closing.

Mmmm, it is, especially since there isn't another contender out there with faction based PvP that comes even close.

DC is no longer the highest pop server and hasn't been for a while, several of the core ruleset servers have way higher population but it still feels less active and at times even desolate depending on when you log on. The changes under way might make a difference but it's hard to break the trend... and the hints at a "working economy" for the Korean launch sounds like something that could nail the coffin shut if executed wrong considering the Mythic fans known distaste for gold farmers.
