I too get the extra spam on my screen, even when verbose is off. it looks exactly like DM's screens.


I'm also noticing an extreme increase in the frequency of seeing "waiting to send /who request" with this version. (I run CP silent on characters that i'm actually playing, but I leave it on verbose for my army of census-only alts, so i know how close i am to being done.) Before, maybe 1 in 25 /who's would return with a 'waiting' and require being sent again, but now it seems that as many as 1 in 5 /who's are getting a 'waiting' line.

Is there some way to add an extra second to the timing of when the mod sends the commands to the server?

Well, DM, I am not 100% sure, but Rollie's upload now only accepts 4.2.1 data. At least according to the upload page. So if this is strictly enforced then Curse users are using the older addon and it would nullify the results. But then again, I don't know how strict Rollie is with that.

Nah, it still allows uploads from the older version, it just updates to display the latest version. Perhaps I shouldn't have it say that only uploads from that version will work because it's not true.

Looking into this now to see if I can figure out why it's working fine for me and not for others =(

Ok, yeah, it won't detect properly with any kind of chat modifying addons running. I can look into supporting Prat since it is pretty widespread, we'll see.

Ok, I think I finally have it, but I want a few others to play with it before I do an official release. If you are interested in checking it out, grab this version:

In addition to eliminating rogue /who output (including Prat users), this version has a couple of other additions:

- Minimap button draggable anywhere on screen
- Very basic scan progress status on the main screen
- User option to enable/disable the logarithmic level bars

If you try it out, please let me know if you run into any problems!

If you change that text in some way, maybe you want to remove the US-only limitation text on WR_Killingfields as well, since you've been accepting EU submissions for a long time now...

The new version so far has been working fine for me with no spam names or any other problems so far.

I saw something about you check for wholib being present... there is now a new wholib fyi, http://www.wowace.com/projects/wholib/ not sure if you can maybe use it, or if maybe it is what is interfering, since it seems the author of prat is on the author list for this as well. Would be nice if all who using addons could funnel through a common point though.

Also, I am going to make my own script to upload the data files I think. Are you set up to handle compressed files ?

Rollie isn't scanning the chat for less than 3 results, instead pulling from the Who window. So it should work with any sort of chat mod.
Still going to do more testing tho

Yeah, I do plan to make sure it is compatible with the new WhoLib, and it's a high priority item, there's just higher ones atm =)

4.2.1t is still giving me on-screen spam for 3 characters. Verbose is on (i know, why worry about spammy char names when i'm already choosing to be spammed : p). Prat is on the machine but disabled for my census-only alts.

Hm. turned Verbose off... haven't seen spam yet....
2nd census alt, verbose off, still no spam.
3rd census alt, verbose on gives name spam, verbose off hasn't yet.

btw the scan progress is fun! I wish I knew how to code Fubar plugins so I could see that on my main when I scan with verbose off.
