Can someone give a few scans of Magtheridon Alliance side?

Was linked from WoWInsider and I'm curious how accurate those numbers are!

Re: Calling EU scanners!
Agree them number look way off. Never seen a server that low for either side for NA servers.Rollie wrote:Can someone give a few scans of Magtheridon Alliance side?

Hello everyone!
Well... the sad fact is that two EU Realms ARE badly off balance. Magtheridon has almost no Alliance... Silvermoon almost no Horde... I know more about Silvermoon, since I have ran more censuses on it than Magtheridon... but most likely the figures are relatively accurate. Often, when I run a census for Silvermoon Horde, I wish that first check would be /who 1-80... because early mornings, most of the time that would be enough to census the whole side. I just ran another Silvermoon Horde census... total population online... 45, including my censusing alt.
Blizzard has already reacted by opening certain one-faction only free transfers... but as of today, they do not seem have a very large impact.

Edit: For comparison... Silvermoon Alliance about 10 minutes later: Online population: 863.
Edit 2: Magtheridon, Horde: 931. Alliance: 26. (Yes, 26, that is not a typo.)

This is a another good reason that Blizzard needs to work on server balance. Like these two server should be merged so you get a horde / alliance balance. Or at least get numbers in reason.
Bad as the new servers they started with week for NA. At this time there are at about 50 servers that are ghost town. Instead of adding more unneeded servers open the moves to these. Warhammer Online they are smart and do just that.
Edit before posting reason Blizzard is doing this
Thanks Balgair for the insight into the EU servers.

Hello once more!
A minor hint to Balgair (and everyone else doing low population scans). For some reason, at least for me, keeping the "who" tab open forces the census to correctly census less than 3. Most of the time.. 1-3 works... but as far as I can tell, exceeding 49 and then having one or more groups with 1-3 is not always accurate. And accuracy seems to be a) random and b) directly related to which characters were in the original 50... So sometimes 53 would be 53... but it might also be 50, 51 or 52... :/
Maybe Rollie has some more insight to this... It might have something to do with modifications he made to keep the "who" tab from showing up when not wanted... which still happens occasionally (at least by me). And/or the problem with manual /whos that I saw posted elsewhere on forums.

Edit: Magtheridon, Alliance, 23:24 my local, 22:24 server time, population online: 73. Total seen today so far... 273.

I had this problem the other day after installing spammenot. Removed it and problem fixed. There are some addons that do not behave well with others and that is one of them. Spammenot messed up a total of 3 other addons I use and reason only install one new addon at a time.1974ER wrote:Hello once more!

That way can remove the offending one right away. You can even see the time that spammenot was used by looking at updates on Jan 15, 09 17:03:41 updated = 1878. That should have been closer like 3000 or 4000.

It is a challenge to play like that, we tried to help one server out with that issue, made my guild create alts on the server and start playing and get the economy going and the like. About 80 of us had alts there, problem is, the ones that was on the server was so much in the lone wolf mentality that we could not assist them in any way.Davince wrote:I think it would be really interesting to be on one of those servers that has less then 100 people at peak times. Of course no instance runs, weird AH prices, no pvp backup, losing every wintergrasp.
Hi all!
Well... funnily enough... being short on people does not stop instance runs or PvP... I took a short look earlier today... On Magtheridon, there were players in AV, AB and SotA... On Silvermoon small groups were running RFC and Uldaman and a couple of people were EotS:ing. And though the differences could be a coincidence, it might be that both realms are getting at least a few more people in on the weaker sides since I recorded a high of 80 for M, 140 for S yesterday. And today I could detect several low level characters going up, fast.

Blizzard has just added another 5 horde-only transfer options in:
http://forums.wow-europe.com/thread.htm ... 0109&sid=1
So, the current single-faction free transfers available now are:
Horde only: Magtheridon --> Haomarush, Tarren Mill, Trollbane, Zenedar, and Silvermoon (normal/PvE)
Alliance only: Aerie Peak, Aggramar, Alonsus, Aszune, Azjol-Nerub, Bronze Dragonflight, Bronzebeard, Emerald Dream, Eonar, Khadgar, Kul Tiras, Runetotem, Shadowsong, Silvermoon, Turalyon --> Magtheridon
There's still a 1:35 ratio for Magtheridon and 16:1 ratio for Silvermoon.
I'm just glad that the US realms don't have these problems
