Login while doing submissions!

Post by Rollie »

I wanted to let you guys know about something that I have enabled in the background. Submissions are now attributed to users. What this means is that I will be tracking the number of character entries/updates that your submissions specifically create.

This is basically a notification to be sure you are logged in when making data submissions! In the very near future, I will use this type of data for contests and specialized content on the website! Don't miss out!

sounds pretty cool

would be interesting (if possible) to have a graph showing total players submitted by a person seeming as a Census can get alot of players quite fast and other useless stats that someone might find interesting :P

Yup, that's one thing I will be adding =) It will be a couple of weeks before I release such data though as it will take a little bit of time to gather up some of that info.

Soon as I have a sizable amount of data, I will reveal this type of data though!

Sounds like a great idea!

An even greater idea would be to get the website to let me stay logged in. I use FireFox, and I have to log in, despite asking it to Remember Me. ;)

Brago -

I have to look at it again, but I am pretty sure you can send extra data with Uniuploader. I'll see what can be done to get login info to carry along with your upload data =)

I have updated my UniUploader support to accept login and password for verification when submitting data.

With the latest version of UniUploader (vr. 1.08) be sure you are in Advanced Mode (click the Advanced Mode button on the Settings tab), then go to the Options tab. Check the first two additional variables boxes.

Leave the names user and pw. Type your site username into the box next to user and your site password into the box next to pw.

Now when you upload, in the Server Response tab, you should see where it recognized your login and credited your login with the submission!

Let me know if you have any problems!
