I think I may quit again....

Post by Eyeball-Dragonmaw »

The game just isn't fun. I really wanted to do Arena, but I can't get in any teams. I can't make one either cause no one wants to join unless you have a high rating. Its just stupid. I don't want to join some team that only does 10 games a week either.

Also I can't even get an invite into a guild. I have walked around for weeks without a guild, and I think I got 1 random spam invite for some noob guild.

Is everyone just elitists now in this game? I can't figure it out.

I think maybe I will try transferring to a new server, but doubtful anything will change, or wait for the next expansion to come out where everyone is on a level playing field again.

Or maybe its time to retire this game, and just suffer with no game playing another 9 months until Warhammer comes out.

hm there should be enough guild that take one. Just check their internet pages if some classes are still been searched for.

for the arena: if don't have any arena equip, now it's very hard to get into a team. Try first to get the 3-5 PvP items, that are a really good start to collect resilience!

Check the Guild Recruitment forums:

http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/board ... 1123&sid=1

Find one that looks good, roll a char on that server to chat with the guild and see if it's worth transferring for. Transfer your character, join cool new guild, prosper!

Arena is totally the way to go but make sure you load up during AV weekend. I personally just made a 2v2 called The Reaper A Team and got noticed by an old school reaper. He joined me in 3v3 and now I'm doing 5v5 with him. Just doing 10 games is easy especially since most pve'rs do this on monday's and it's EASY sauce. Build up resilience next week by using your regular honor to get a baseline pvp set now that you can buy Season 1 gear with it.

I'm reeeeeeeeeeally looking forward to 2.3, specially with guild banks, alt love and the s1 gear becoming available.

Well I have all my pvp gear, veterans, high warlord stuff, and currently my resil is 346. You would think it is good enough, but than they armory you, and act like pvp gear is worthless and say you have to have merc gear....

I probably should have never quit the first time, and I would have all my gladiator gear, but now I am an outsider.

Rollie I checked out the recruitment forums. It seems those guilds are way out of my league. Most are at BT. I have never been a pve type of person, but I am willing to try it out, but I think I need to find a new guild that is just starting Kara. The last instance I ever did was UBRS, and 1 time to MC which bored me to tears. I am clueless about all the raiding requirements, pots, etc. I just found Karazhan yesterday, and started the attunement, but I doubt I ever actually finish it. I heard spriests are just mana batteries in raids which I don't quite understand what that means. It sounds like people leech my mana, but than it also says you have to lead on the dps charts. Kinda hard to dps with no mana. It also sounds like raiding means spending alot of gold on pots which to me doesnt sound fun when you could spend alot of hours in Kara spend 100g on pots, and leave with no drops.

TheDeamon wrote:Shadowpriests are "mana batteries" in that while they're doing DPS in a group with Vampiric Touch up, they are not only returning mana to themselves, they are returning mana to every mana user in their group.

They aren't leaching your mana, they're getting mana from you based on the amount of damage you're dealing. Which is why they like to see Spriests dealing lots of damage. More damage done = more mana being given to the group they're in.

As to leading the DPS charts, not neccessarily, but you should be making a respectable showing none-the-less.
Ok....that makes sense....thanks.

Spriests dont necessarily have to lead the charts, a good warlock will ride shadow weaving and blow everything out the water. Lock/spriest = win.

Kara is pugged quite regularly on Mal'Ganis at least, and there are always new guilds popping up who are just starting it. Since the consumable change, you shouldn't need to spend too much money on consumables to do it, either. I'm not sure how your server is, but usually if the server is populated enough there will be somebody you can hook up with.

Arena pretty much sucks if you come into the game late - I arena in a 3v3, and usually get wrecked due to my blues being no match for season 2 arena gear. But I gotta start somewhere :P With season 1 gear being available for honor next patch, at least that will give me a decent baseline to start with... but it really is a catch-22 if you're trying to seriously arena; You need a good rating to be able to afford the gear, but without the gear you can't get a good rating.

As a side note about shadow priests, personally as a holy paladin I love having a shadow priest in my group - it actually takes a significant effort for me to run out of mana then, haha. ;)
