If you chose not to have a mini map button, you cannot scan unless the census window is open.

In other words you must have a census miniamp icon in order to run scans in the background.

Also same continuing issue with the social tab popping open. Not really a big deal though ^^

but i dont have spam sentry. still does it. used to have easy report but i got rid of it, dont think i ran a scan after that. maybe i'll check it out and see
