Re: Site and addon status: patch 9.0
Thanks Finnegan, I've downloaded it, will try it out tomorrow (it's late here) and see how it goes. Just having the addon for personal use would be great! :) I've also passed Kulakai's details to BOYD regarding the site, although how much can be done there is currently unknown; thanks for the offer ...

Re: WarcraftRealms.com membership application
It seems BOYD stealth-promoted me to forum admin the other day so I'm working through the backlog of new accounts now. I don't have access to as much information as BOYD did so am taking gambles on some ambiguous ones and going with a policy of letting people through unless they're obvious - basical...

Re: Site and addon status: patch 9.0
Unfortunately a 2nd database would also be a heck of a lot of work, I don't think BOYD had sufficient access to do that and Metalbeast rarely had time to do anything to the site. The best hope I had was a working addon for personal use, but as expected, when I tried it just now I just got a big pile...

Site and addon status: patch 9.0
For those who haven't seen my non-announcement posts of a few weeks back, Bringoutyourdead, who was the sole active maintainer for the site and addon, has stepped back from the site, due to the difficulties Blizzard's changes have caused the addon, and the scale of changes that would need to be made...

Re: Can't reset password
Hi, unfortunately the website is no longer being actively maintained, so it's highly unlikely that anything broken will be fixed anytime soon I wish I could help, but I only have basic moderation powers here.

Re: Warning: newly connected realms have broken some things...
Speaking of data integrity .. any idea if this site and it's data .. albeit increasingly out of date if the censusplus addon no longer works .. will still be around come SL? It would be nice to have even just a static database to look back through, occasionally. Afraid I have no idea; aside from ad...

Warning: newly connected realms have broken some things...
Just spent an hour or so trying to diagnose why my database keeps getting wiped when I switch realm and finally found it: EU-Darkmoon Faire is now, since being connected on Thursday, making the addon think it's in the US (not sure if that's the addon getting confused by the extra connected realms or...

Re: Shadowlands is possibly end of the line
Heh 12 years, I just realised it's very near 15 for me, almost my entire time playing WoW and my entire time since I rerolled to Draenor (give or take 9 days), no wonder I feel so attached to this place, quiet as it's been for a good long while now, I know I'll miss it when it's gone. Looking at the...

Shadowlands is possibly end of the line
Just to let the few remaining people here know, it's not looking great for Shadowlands. I contacted BOYD a couple of months ago, who basically said he's not working on Censusplus any more, given that the changes forced by Blizz last year virtually killed the addon (ever since then, the top contribut...

Re: Uniuploader
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=4591 was a guide I wrote for setting it up a while back - as it's now 10 years old I can't guarantee it still works, but I can't recall any more recent info on it, and my install still works at least

Known issue with mouse-click census taking - workaround
Thought I'd post this in a fresh thread for visibility, as I figured out my problem via emails to BOYD while the site was down and he worked out a workaround for it: If you find the census on mouseclick doesn't respond to much at all, and you get some error messages popping up about attempting to ca...

Re: And the site is back chapter 2 - revenge of the ISP
Great work! Thanks for letting me know it's in progress, glad to see this :) I see uploading via UniUploader works, even if I can't access my profile to find out if it went anywhere lol (I see by the small amount of servers with a tiny bit of data in the regular census stats that someone's upload pr...

I'm fairly sure it wasn't the delay counter unless it's set to take 30-60 seconds plus of it completely ignoring repeated attempts at one trigger and then magically work immediately when I switch to a different trigger, reliably working in 5-7 second intervals on those which I know to work :P I am a...

Regarding Draenor's size, when I did a test census the other day, I thought I'd made a mistake doing it on Draenor as it'd take forever... eh, no, actually, only 743 online at 10pm  Didn't realise Classic had had THAT big an impact on live servers, but that is way lower than I expected, would...

Hehe very good point about the programming side; I was thinking after I posted that, that it probably isn't actually as simple as just telling it to go backwards  So I'll qualify my suggestion with if it's practical to implement , then it could be the ideal way to make sure we get the levelling...

Scanning in ranges while fine for your person use, will negate much of the reason for CensusPlus data aggregation here at WarcraftRealms.com Since we have few census runs done on most servers every month, if the one or two people who are submitting data for a realm are only doing a small range, we ...
